We had our first pastor's conference in
Moldova to present our Bible College program to the pastors. It
was well recieved and we expect to see many new schools as a result.
Jim Thomason has served on our Board of
Directors for the past 15 years and will step down as of our November
meeting. We are very thankful for his wisdom and input during his
time of service.
We are thankful for the new doors of
opportunity that God has open for us in Russia and now in Germany and
Hungary. There also are opportunities to start Russian speaking
schools here in America.
We have
started a new counseling program in Bulgaria. It will train lay
counselors to make counseling available to members of the church.
The need for counseling is great in the churches there as there
is much pain and emotional distress left over from communism
We welcome Dr. Paul Shotsberger to our Board of
Directors. Paul and his wife Susan served as our missionaries in
Ukraine for 6 years. Paul brings a great vision for Eastern
Europe to our Board.
Prayer Request
Pray for God's favor and blessing for all of our missionaries and national staff in this new school year.
Pray that our schools will continue to grow and God will lead us to those who need to be educated and equipped.
Pray for Meloni Adams and the success of the new counseling program.
Pray for God's guidance and blessing for those
opportunities to start Russian speaking schools in other European
countries.
Pray for a new opportunity to work with four denominations in Uzbekistan to start a new Bible College there.
