Dear MTEE Partners,
Greetings in the matchless name of Jesus our Savior!
As our MTEE family, we would like to communicate to you many exciting developments that we hope you will rejoice with us in as we strengthen our resolve to expand the spread of the Gospel through the various opportunities the Lord gives.
After an extended two day Board of Directors meeting held in So. Carolina in the month of October and in subsequent communications and meetings since then, the MTEE’s Board of Directors has decided to sharpen the vision of the ministry and realign the leadership to move us forward toward the new challenges and opportunities that we face as a ministry. Our desire is to build on the foundation that has been laid, strengthen what is good, and begin new initiatives that will enable our Ministry to work in ways that will further us to accomplish our vision and mission. The Vision and Mission that has been clarified is as follows:
Vision: “Training Nationals to Transform Nations”
Mission: “To equip national leaders with skills, character, and education to develop a network of committed, competent, and mature churches and transformational leaders to disciple the nations.”
To lead us in developing the strategy to accomplish this vision, the Board has elected Pastor Ronald L. Bernier to be the President of MTEE. Pastor Ronald has been affiliated with MTEE for a number of years, beginning in 2004 teaching in the Master’s Program in Ukraine and continuing to return through the years for many groups of students since. He has also taught in our Doctoral Program and has ministered in many churches in the area of Pastoral Theology, Leadership, Administration, Christian Education and Ministerial Ethics. In addition, Pastor Ron has served on the Board of MTEE for a period of 10 years. We believe that his administrative and leadership gifts, combined with his pastoral experience of almost 30 years will help us to network with Pastors and Institute Leaders and set a vision for the coming years. Pastor Ron is the senior pastor of Master Builder Ministries and the Headmaster of East Gate Christian Academy in Fall River, Massachusetts. Pastor Ron has trained Pastors and leaders in many countries, including: Ukraine, Belarus, Ghana, Kenya, Zimbabwe, So. Africa and the United States. He and his wife Bernice have been married for 37 years; have 2 grown married children and 5 grandchildren. Pastor Ron has a BS degree in Civil Engineering, a Masters of Theological Studies and a Doctor of Ministry. He has also authored 8 books.
Dr. Paul Shotsberger who has served faithfully in Ukraine for a number of years and most recently as the President of MTEE will stay and serve on the Board of Directors; continuing to advise and contribute with his great expertise from the many years of faithful service. We want to thank him for his faithful service and great dedication that helped shape much of what we have today in the Institute of the Development of Christian Leaders and the Vision University Network.
The Board of Directors has also agreed to add a Chairman of the Board, which will help us to have a greater communication and support as the Board of Directors work to help the President fulfill the mission of MTEE. We expect to make this appointment at our February 2017 Meeting.
We expect to accomplish our mission by working with the Institute for the Development of Christian Leaders (IDLC), Vision International University (VIU), indigenous churches and leaders in the MTEE Network along with other strategic church and individual financial partners and adding new strategic partners by strengthening what currently exists and focusing on:
• Ministry Networking & Pastoral Mentoring
• Leadership Training
• Church Planting and Establishing
• Children & Family Development
• Individual Transformation
There are many initiatives that we are presently considering and will present in the near future. We are committed to working with Valintina Grenchuk as our Director of Operations. She has many project proposals that are currently being assessed for order of priority and what financial expectation we will need to raise in order to establish these priorities.
There is much to be excited about. We hope you will continue to be working alongside all of us to trust the Lord for His grace and favor that we might obey His leading. We appreciate your communication and input as we move to the future. We want to thank you for being there and helping to advance the Gospel even in difficult times and situations. Your partnership with us is needed now more than ever, If I can be of service to you, please do not hesitate to contact me. May the Lord bless you as you consider just how you might sow into this ministry.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! May the Lord bless you abundantly.
Sincerely, Ronald L. Bernier,
