Transformation Church, Dnepropetrovsk

A Brief History of emergence and development:

Name: Transformation Church
Pastor: Yuri Kantsur
Location: Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine

The church is the result of the "Christ is the answer" international mission’s ministry in Dnepropetrovsk. In October 1996 this Mission held evangelistic tent crusades for a month. As a result, 21 people repented by the end of October and have received elementary biblical education. In November 1996 the Church was formed.

I, Yuri Kantsur, am the pastor of this church since 1999 till today. The church has 230 members. We have opened 26 daughter churches in the Dnipropetrovsk region, two churches in Armenia, and one in Barcelona, Spain.

The Vision of the Church:

Our vision is to open 1,000 Churches in Ukraine and to send missionaries to Mongolia, Vietnam and Cambodia.

Ministries and Church programs:

We hold Sunday services; we have opened 8 free rehabilitation centers for addicts, we have program of feeding poor people in four cities in Dnepropetrovsk region, where about 120 people receive hot meals every day.

We also hold clubs for the elderly in the four cities on a regular basis, covering nearly 1,000 elderly people. for the last 14 years we have been working in all the orphanages and shelters of Dnipropetrovsk.

We have created a public sports organization "Sports against cigarettes, alcohol and drugs." We organize regular sports championships in our area among neighborhood football teams of teenagers 10 to 15 years old, and also floorball competitions. About 2,000 teenagers are involved in these activities.

Today's challenges and needs of the church, including financial:

1. We need a place for the social assistance center, where we would be able to feed and provide first aid to homeless people on a daily basis. Right now we feed the people out on the srteets.

2. We need a place to make an overnight shelter for people who have nowhere to live.

3. We need a building for our church; right now we a renting a hall.

4. We need bunk beds for rehabilitation centers.

5. We need desktop computers (could be used ones) for rehabilitation centers to be used by patients in their daily training.

6. In 2015, we opened 7 new churches. These churches are young (less than one year old), and we really need a minimum set of sound equipment (can be used) for these Churches, namely: two speakers, a mixing console, an amplifier, 4 microphones, and an portable keyboard. The approximate cost of one set is $1,200.
